USA here. I’m probably in the minority but in grade school my classmates were very supportive - probably because we grew up together from a very young age. Going to high school was different as I went to high school in another state and had to make all new friends. I can’t say I was made fun of, but I also didnt talk much at all to anyone my first year. it wasnt until my second year I made more friends through sports. For work, people know I stutter at times. Either they’ll hear it or I’ll ask them to not speak over me when I’m trying to get my point across.
