Same. There's so much on here about people hiding their stutter, choosing whether or not to disclose, working in call centers etc. My stutter is so bad the only way to hide it is by not speaking. I can't say anything without stuttering and everything takes me forever to say (if I can get anything out at all), and costs me such a huge amount of physical effort that it's literally painful. It's not just shame and lack of confidence that keeps me from trying to speak; I can barely say anything at the best of times.
