I don't even know. Are we just expected to roll over and play dead because no one has found a reliable cause or treatment? There has been a recent push for us to, ‘speak loudly or radically accept what we can't change but it depends on the level of our disability. Maybe some of us are able to just accept that our lives are irrevocably limited or altered by this disfluency, but acceptance might only be a consolation prize for having no alternative.
