How to make eye contact while stuttering?

How to make eye contact while stuttering? Whenever I stutter, I tend to look away from the person to get the words out, and I usually look at the ground. I don’t feel comfortable making eye contact with my stuttering face lol. I’ve had friends tell me that I lack eye contact, and I’ve noticed it myself. But I can’t help it.
