You are not your stutter! You said that you were fluent during therapy, which is important. If we give up trying then we forfeit our tenacity and strength in overcoming hardships. Life is really really hard, many people feel frustrations like this. Including people on this subreddit! I've certainly felt this way in the past, too. Where it's just easier to quit than to actually try. It's not fair that we have to re-master speaking, but we also can't be lazy. We can't be quitters. We can't lose our strength. Our stutters are an opportunity for us to prove strength, patience, and that we can overcome this massive obstacle. In other words if we can overcome this we can overcome anything.
