To me, its accept, positive thinking, and allow. It's to accept that you have a stutter, and not trying to hide it from people. Address it with people you meet, either before it happens or after it does, so it doesnt become the elephant in the room. The line I always use is, "i have a speech impediment, by the way. If I stutter, that's why." Just generally be open about it. Try not to be embarrassed or annoyed with it. Another way to "own" it is to have a sense of humor about it. Not everyone will be comfortable with this though. Other commenters have given examples like, "oh yeah, give the guy with a speech impediment the phone," and other comments that make light of it. If you hit a really bad block, instead if getting frustrated, you can chuckle and say a lighthearted, "damn it," or quip that you're buffering or something.
