I just turned 17 and I still don't have a job because I am anxious of my stutter Most of my friends got jobs when they turned 16 while I couldn't even bring myself to apply for job due to embarrassment of my stutter. However here we are one year later and while I am much more accepting of my stutter and usually don't let it get in the way of my friends, I am still terrified of getting a job. Did anyone else also experience this? Any advice would be extremely helpful. Edit: All of my friends work in retail. That would be a living nightmare for me since I would have to communicate with customers.
