"It hasn't cured my speech impediment" means that your transformation is pretty unrelated to your stutter. Most stutters cannot be cured of course, but I believe your story is on the extreme end of a solution to "not fitting in". I hope people don't take your post as advice, but rather as a surface-level retelling to what sounds like an extremely convoluted story.
