I used to not be able to say a complete sentence. I'm now* 26 and married. Part of my job includes frequently giving guest lectures for graduate courses. I still stutter, and I dread talking on the phone, speaking in front of groups, and introducing myself to new people. The biggest thing I can stress is, when you feel like this and don't want to talk, my personal strategy is to find someone who will listen and call them or talk to them and just talk about random subjects. Not only does it help distract me, but also practices speaking when anxious/upset. Keep your head up and stay in there!
