I do this, but like others have said - it makes people think I am dumb or rude (when it’s the name of someone’s baby or I’m trying to introduce somebody etc). And I hate it. I’ve been trying to challenge myself more to own it - like ‘I do know that, I’m just having trouble getting the word out right now’ and usually after that I can say it. Maybe we just need to buy ourselves some time, and instead of putting ourselves down we can just explain what’s going on.
