What I actually helped in therapy I have been in speech therapy since middle school and my stutter has not seen much improvement because of it besides the occasional method that will help me get out of a block. I am current in my senior year in high school and my therapists has occasionally worked on strategies but what she has really helped with was not letting my stutter limit me and building confidence. I can honestly say I have been cured not because I don't stutter but because it doesn't affect me. It is such a freeing feeling, I am a completely different person, I went from a complete introvert to a extrovert. I answer the most questions in class, I will make small talk with strangers waiting in line, and don't fear presenting in front of the class. I honestly feel like I won.
