THIS! I've had a stutter for as long I can remember and always thought it was something that held me back (it is). So whenever I would stutter around people I don't know I feel embarrassed and withdraw. But when around friends and I stutter I don't care as much. it's almost all mentally. If you think of it in a negative light it will be too a degree. This kind of thinking really reduces a lot of anxiety I have bc of my stutter. It's great way of putting ur disadvantage into a positive light.
