Not at all. I tend to be a pretty funny guy. My stutter ruins about 75% of the jokes I want to say. I'm pretty knowledgeable on my trigger sounds so I run through the joke in my head, see if there are trigger sounds, see how long the joke would be, assess the risk in length of joke + trigger sounds + how funny I think the joke is and make a choice whether or not to bother with a joke. There has been more than once where I'm telling a really good joke or story, have a really REALLY bad stutter, and I can watch their faces turn to boredom. It's one of the worst feelings I can experience with my speech impediment
