Have you tried just writing the name? Surely on these specific cases it would be better for you right? Not saying you shouldn't talk, but if being in a quiet place makes you stutter more, like it happens to me, maybe finding another solution is the best way, and if it's making people make fun of you it's going to affect you even more. I also have days where I can't even get a word out, luckily nobody laughs at me, but I know how you feel has it happened to me way too often in the past.
