For me at least, my stutter is like a broadcast of how I’m feeling. If I’m relaxed and comfortable around people who aren’t judgmental, I talk fine. If I’m hungry, haven’t slept well, or stressed out and fearful, I can barely talk. To me this is one of the toughest parts of stuttering because it takes away my privacy in a sense. Everyone knows if I’m having a rough day. My best advice is to deal with getting rid of the shame you are feeling about stuttering. Once that got better, I was happier and as a bonus, I stuttered less (it never goes away though). P.s. your family isn’t ganging up on you. They just want to help, and don’t know a better way. If you are close with your grandfather, I might even have him read some of this sub. I suspect he’d learn a lot and could convey this to your father. Hang in there
