I definitely connect with you on this one. Been there and it sucks. A good friend of mine once gave me an excellent piece of advice: never feel rushed, because everyone in that line has the right to order what they want, including you. If it takes you 5mins to get the word "root beer" out, so be it. Someone else might take 10mins because they are arguing with the cashier, or the computer system might be down, or little kids being indecisive or throwing a tantrum. You have the right to be there and take as long as you want, without concern for other people's time. They'll just have to wait.
