Hi! 48F, stuttered since I could talk. Unlike others, I am pretty sure I know why I stutter. My mother was a SAHM. When I became of talking age, she became symptomatic with a genetic disease, parasupranuclear palsy. I learned to talk from her. She had a lot of guilt over this. I know of one other female stutterer IRL. She is a friend of a friend’s daughter and her father stutters. She speaks great and I bet no one could really tell that she stutters. I did simply because I know the tricks.
