The gym will only go so far, and that’s coming from someone who lifts everyday and my life basically revolves around it. It will definitely help, but there’s more you have to attack from psychological perspective if you really want to reap the benefits from getting fit, anyway. And also work on your actual speech and build subconscious confidence in that itself. Good luck!
