severe - you cannot say a word and if you try it takes forever (good luck with a whole sentence). Example: ".....................iiiiii............iiii.......i am.........(20 seconds later) John. mild - "I am j-john". moderate - somewhere in between. According to this definition is my stutter currently either non existant or severe. The whole spectrum in one day B-)
