Thank you for you reply! This is why it's so interesting to talk to other stammerers. For me, I think I am more or less at the stage were I have accepted and embraced it, but in my case I don't think that is the crux of the issue for me so much as the effects it will have on me regardless of my outlook. For example, I seem to continue to experience physical tension and fatigue when speaking regardless whether or not I am anxious about speaking. I similarly do not have to be nervous about a task requiring speaking to stammer profusely when I do so, and I would be really interested to know if there are other stammerers who experience these issues too where self acceptance is not quite the end of the story.
