Do what you feel the best for yourself. Using techniques can become second nature and soon, you won't need them to speak fluently if you can avoid bad stuttering incidents long enough. I don't really like the idea of "acceptance" without any specific direction, like accepting your current state for a more fluent and effortless speech in the future.
