Hey! I do understand what you’re going through… I could say that I live it on a daily basis, I am a stutter for as long as I can remember. Nowadays, my stutter is more of a sequence of blocks followed by some facial ticks. Sometimes I also avoid situations where I need to expose myself specially when I am not comfortable. But, I also talk a lot about this with my friends and some colleagues because it helps me to process everything. Most of people don’t understand all of the facets of stuttering as we do. So, if you accept an advice, just try to put yourself out even if you don’t feel totally ready. You may discover wonderful things! My biggest fear regarding my stuttering was traveling by myself to a foreign country where I wouldn’t be able to speak my own language (I do a lot of words replacements), so what did I do? I took a job abroad in the Netherlands even thought I was fucking scared of it. It has been one of the greatest choices I’ve done! I am not saying that you won’t feel uncomfortable or stressed about it, I am just saying that you might find some joy in the unknown… I wish you the best!
