I get it, but she isn't wrong either. I still have moments of frustration, self-pity, doubt. It took me a long time to figure out how to keep pushing myself forward, and yes, staying positive. Your description of your therapist's "normal life" is a cliche. That's not a defense of her nor a criticism to you, it's just not what you think it's all cracked up to be. Life is weird. Having a sense of 'normalcy' is comforting, but a lot of it is smoke and mirrors. Embrace the weird, it can help you find the comfort and confidence to be the person you truly are.
