I'm actually in this situation at work only I'm the one who stutters. I tend to resort to the chat in group meetings because I get cut-off a LOT. Particularly by one or two people; anytime I pause they jump in and take over the conversation. Things that can help solve this issue are: Call on each team member one at a time and makes a point to defend each person's time, Always pause a few seconds after each speaker to make sure they're finished, Use the hand raising feature for adding to the conversation when not your turn, and Basically enforce online meeting etiquette. These help everyone communicate better not just the person who stutters. I have a moderate to severe stutter so even though I assume everyone knows about it it turned out that the new person didn't figure it out on their own. I sent them an email quietly explaining that I stutter and need them to stop talking over me. Totally worked. For the other person my polite self disclosure didn't work. My boss noticed I was getting frustrated and privately asked if I would mind if she spoke to them. I don't know what she said but they're sure polite now! The thing about including someone who stutters in any group is that we really don't need anything special, just basic listening skills and general manners.
