I have no idea why, but I'm in the most extroverted job given that I am so introverted. I am a national trainer for a large medical facility, and I train medical staff (doctors, nurses, social workers, etc...) so I am on stage, in front of hundreds of medical professionals each month, and it's crazy because I still stutter. I do disclose before every training, and I incorporate humor, which makes the process more enjoyable. I was told that I could not do this job because of my stutter and I am a contrarian by nature. What I have found is that I have found the joy of teaching. It's also great to hear that roar of applause at the end. My stutter does not define who I am, it's just what I have.
