Hello Bushindo. Firstly I’ve been a Reddit Lerker for years, but never commented until now…some may call it fate…. Here goes. My story in short. I was born on the 9th July 1986. I was a twin. 22 weeks premature. I was read my last rights because I was so Ill. I had a brain haemorrhage, jaundice, lung collapse and many other things, I also also weighed 803 grams. Somehow I survived. I was in hospital for months. In a turn of events my sister was a healthy newborn, but within days of being born contracted meningitis and passed away 3 weeks later. As you can imagine a very tough start to life. Then at the age of 5 I developed a stutter. I’m now 36. I still have it. Some days are good, some bad. High school was tough, bullied a lot, but managed to get by being a clown. Maybe because I didn’t understand why everyone else could speak normally. During my early years i noticed my mother turned to drink quiet frequency and drank throughout my early life. She stopped about 5 years ago. My dad left the family home when I was 22. Never seen him since, but that’s ok, he doesn’t deserve me anyway. Hope your still following. Abit of a train crash I know. In my early years I developed a love for planes and I always dreamt about being an Airline Pilot. Everyone laughed. On the 6th January 2022 as a First Officer, I took control of a Boeing 737-800 with 180 passengers on board from the UK to Faro. * Your child will be whatever he/she wants to be. Early life will be tough. Sometimes very tough. My only advice. Be there, have patience and please give them a hug everyday. One day they’ll surprise you. Confidence is key to being fluent. * I got a Facebook message from said bully after seeing my post about my first flight. I used it as fuel to get what I wanted. Scott
