Just bombed HARD in a job interview thanks to my stutter Idk about all of you, but having a stutter when you’re trying to interview for a job is one of the worst parts of this all. I could barely answer any of the questions in any depth bc it took me a solid minute to get one sentence out, and there was SO much blocking in between words. I was barely understandable. About 15 minutes into the interview, I reached a point where I had the impulse to say “I’m sorry, I need to end this interview” bc I couldn’t get out anything I wanted to say and it’s just the most horrible feeling, and i wanted to end my embarrassment. I didn’t follow the impulse and I finished the interview, but I’m sitting here wondering if I’ll ever get a job, or if my stutter is going to mess up any opportunities that come my way. The silver lining is that I knew going into the interview that this job really isn’t a good fit for me, so I took the interview as more of a chance to practice for the interviews for jobs that are a better fit for me. But still, I bombed hard, and am worried I’ll be even worse in an interview that I’m really keen on. I needed to vent to people who understand. Thanks for listening.
