I would highly recommend you to talk to everyone you know and trust about having a stutter. Just being open about being a person who stutters can improve your speech tremendously. Furthermore, if once you're comfortable about bringing it up (and ideally, comfortable hearing other stutterers and letting them work through it) you'll find it's a lot less pressure on you to speak or stutter and it's much more straightforward to communicate in general.
