I would say go for it. A friend of mine who stutters (sometimes very bad) has been teaching in Taiwan for 12 years. According to him his speech is actually better in the classroom than in everyday life. He did the Mcquire Speech Program and use those tecqniques for the rest of your life. I would say do it and get involved in the program allong with public speaking organisations such as Toastmasters. All this entails learning good time management skills to order your time. You can do it. I'm on my way to teach English in Asia soon. Oh, and remember a happy and energetic attitude can bring you far with teaching children and adults. I also stutter.
