My only comment is that many women don’t like to be approached on the street. I think the sentiment behind it was cool, but if people were rude, I’d venture that it had nothing to do with stuttering. I like the opener, “I’d like to make a quick comment. Well, not that quick because I have a stutter.” You own it and you self disclose. That makes such a difference because you take the bull by the horns and set the tone for the conversation.
