I think this article raises some important points about how stuttering should be classified and how current speech pathology fails stutterers [https://therapistndc.org/stuttering-is-a-type-of-neurodivergence/](https://therapistndc.org/stuttering-is-a-type-of-neurodivergence/) I think people can agree that stuttering is a disability, but I don't often see it being talked about as a form of neurodivergence similar to ADHD, etc. It's still treated as something that can (and often by speech pathologists, must) be cured. Even the people who want to teach you to live with it treat it as if there is something wrong with you when there clearly isn't. I feel it's one of the more important pieces I've read on living with a stutter and I'm happy more people like the author have taken to speech pathology to help those like us find more acceptance.
