Fair point. The rules could use some revisioning and perhaps a more active and communicative mod team. The post I mentioned above was left active long after the OP started making personal attacks in the comments. And people often get defensive when they can't fully explain themselves to skeptics. We should be able to still be respectful when that happens, but such is life on reddit and the internet in general.
