Speaking slowly definitely helps. Unfortunately, even with all of these strategies, I will still get stuck on a Br- word. If that happens, rather than trying to push through it, which feels like trying to break through a wall, I will implement what's called the Hammer Tool. I learned it from a channel called Speak Your Mind Method on YouTube. 1. Stop 2. Breathe 3. Rewind 4. Link For example, if you're in the drive through at Starbucks, you start saying over the speaker, "I want a g-g-g-g-r-..." and you can't get it out, stop everything and reset. Breathe in, go back to the beginning of the sentence, and link all the words together so that they flow easily. Then you should be able to complete the sentence fluently... "I want a grande latte."
