If I could change ten things to help me with dating, stutterering would not be one of them. Let's see: Looks, height, wealth, confidence, status, likability, humor, opportunities, better social networks and social awareness and social skills. As someone who's failed constantly at dating I never saw my stuttering as a direct cause of it or definitely not the single most important thing. Most people don't care as much as you and I care. Sure there's an argument to be made the that stuttering effects all these things which is true, but for me personally even at brief time periods when I was completely fluent it didn't change things all that much. It all goes so much deeper then just mere speech alone. There's people who succeed in dating despite their stutter. There's completley fluent people I know who don't. Stuttering is such a secondary thing. There's so much more I would rather improve upon then my stutter. At least that's what I think.
