I was always sort of popular and had many friends in school. I was outgoing and tried to be funny for the most part. People would tease me, but I had a good attitude about it. I also wasn’t afraid to give my own comebacks, so I couldn’t say I was bullied lol. I only worried about my speech in moments where the attention was all on me, like giving presentations or being called on. I feel like my stuttering got so much worse when I graduated and entered the “adult” world, and that’s when I started to care more. There’s certainly much more pressure to present yourself a certain way as you get older.
