Yes. For example, you're asking about the different types of stuttering and if stuttering tends to disappear with time. Most people here suffer from developmental stuttering, but your character stutters because of a brain injury. Both questions might be answered very differently because the root cause of the issue is different. I'm not saying questioning people here is completely useless, I'm just saying if you want to stay true to the experiences of suffering from a brain injury you should make sure you take that into consideration. Also, psychologically and emotionally, growing up with a stutter is probably very different from having an accident and then suddenly stuttering. Most people here had to live with a speech impediment where we were kids. That comes with consequences regarding self confidence and anxiety. Your character might be different in that regard since they had to rapidly adapt instead of living with it growing up.
