Bottom line, if you want to be a teacher, be a teacher. Don’t let stuttering hold you back or else it’ll haunt you for the rest of your life. I’m an SLP in the schools and I feel like it’s been the best thing for me personally. I get challenged to communicate daily and it doesn’t let me hide from my stutter. I’ve become way more desensitized to my stutter which results in less stuttering funny enough. I actually notice during summer break my stuttering gets worse as I talk less😂. Anyways, if you want to be a teacher, be teacher. I would recommend be open about it and kids/staff will respect that.
