I think most has been said already; Become friends and the rest will come later (or it won't, it's no difference to a person that doesn't stutter). I met a girl at archery, didn't hit it off at first. But in about 6 months of just texting occasionally, the texting became more and more. Wanted to see eachother more. Main part is, she knew I stutter and was ok with it. Anyway, new relationship, met her online on a motorcycle forum. Texting -> Meeting up -> More texting -> More meeting up -> Relationship. This girl stutters a little bit as well, ironically, she is less understanding than girl mentioned above. For me personally it's also harder hearing someone stutter. Probably the same for her. Anyway, the only thing bugging you will be the stuttering, you can be a perfectly normal boyfriend/girlfriend in every other aspect. It's fine. About your jerking; I've had this as well and during my stutter theraphy, it was made clear to me I'm not in therapy to get rid of the stuttering, but to learn to accept it and deal with it. A main part was the jerking; it's not just an unpleasant view for a girl; but for everyone around you as well. If you learn to control the jerks, by stopping, talking slower or prolonging your sentences you will be a lot more pleasant to look at while stuttering. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
