It's good you recognize this as 'doomeristic.' It's an exaggeration and not at all the reality of your situation. I get that it feels this way now. But I can assure you, as someone who has been there, what you're going through now isn't how it will always be. You're on a downswing right now. But here's the truth. Just as your fluency has gotten worse, it can get better. Do you know everyone pities you? I doubt it. You think you know this. And that's the insipid thing about PWS... We think we are experts on stuttering, and on what others think about us. Both of which are generally false, especially at your age (no offense.) What have you done to improve your fluency? IMO school based speech therapy is ineffective. I am a proponent of professional speech therapy. It worked for me. Not at 15 or 16, but when I went back in my 20s, I got fluent. Only different was me at 26 vs me at 16. I am certain I didn't believe I could get fluent at that time. And I certainly didn't put in the work at 16. As long as you keep moving forward in life, I promise that you won't die a virgin.
