Got a retail job with a stutter I am 18 and I have a really really severe stutter since childhood , all my childhood I was bullied and hated life where I even had suicidal thoughts , but now it’s kinda better but still I can’t even pronounce my name and takes me atleast 5-10 seconds to say , it hasn’t improved throughout my life even after taking therapy . I recently pushed myself to get a new job at Tesco . I work at a really busy store in the middle of a town centre with offices , markets and it gets really busy , I mostly get crackheads and drunk people. I have to work at the tills mostly and speak to customers . My first day was really difficult as I stuttered so much but some people didn’t care . I get stuck on words that start with vowels and s . I just want ask if this job will increase my confidence permanently?
