Does have brief moments of "severe stutter" - the ones you used to have? I was diagnosed with stuttering when I was 5. It wasn't easy (as you all know) and my most difficult time was when I was around in middle school and first half of high school - my stuttering was so bad that could barely complete a sentence without stuttering, it was physically draining (and of course mentally) and I had the unconscious habit of shaking/flapping my left hand (and shake my head) when I get stuck. But after years of speech therapy and also my dad was a HUGE support since he also stutters - my speech is fluent and I hardly stutter unless I'm stressed, angry, emotional or tired. However I'm in my early 30s, I've been stressed out and anxious lately and I caught myself stuttering more and locking up and shaking my arms just like when I was a young teen. Do you also have moments of severe stutter after having it "controlled" for several years? Is it common? I haven't been to speech therapy since I was 20.
