I've never read the book personally, but the titles really resonates my advice - "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck". Once you truly stop caring what people think, you are free from the mental shackles of your stutter. This realization came to me with age and experience.. There for sure will be moments where it gets the best of me and I might get frustrated, but once you truly stop caring, you free yourself from this worry. And lastly and ironically, I find that the less I care about speaking and what people perceive my stutter as, the more consistently fluent I become. Almost as if a sense of *calm* is instilled me, allowing me to speak with less to no resistance.
