For me free speech therapy in the public school system didn't work, but it has worked for others. I gained fluency through building up my self-esteem and confidence. Also by being put in situations that allowed me to talk more at work. I would recommend desensitizing yourself to talking by putting yourself in situations that will allow you to talk. At the same time, love yourself, accept your disability, don't dwell on it. Next, realizing that the reactions and emotions of others, you can't control, so don't feel badly about how others will react. Get to the state where if you stutter, you yourself don't have any emotional or physical reaction, just move along as if nothing has happened. It won't have overnight, for me it wasn't until I was in my 30s with my own family and a stable job.
