I used a couple of strategies for this. The first one was the hand technique. When you’re getting a block or feel like you’re getting one, put your hand on side of your leg. Then use your thumb as a “relax or release tension” point. So you relax with pressing your thumb on your leg then as the word or phrase moves on, you go down your hand, using your fingers pressed on your leg as a guide for the sentence. If this isn’t a good explanation of it, look up “hand as a guide” strategy. I’m sure it’ll show up. Another one I like is forcing tension when reading. If you’re reading out loud to yourself, force a block on a word, then relax and continue reading. This helps with conversation scenarios. At least for me, I knew the words that I was going to get really stuck on. Using this strategy kinda tricks your mind on how to get through it. I also use a strategy where I act like I’m moving around or dancing in my head when I’m talking. (Or imagine pushing something around) This helps create rhythm that helps get me through the sentence. Other than that I meditate to practice relaxation, and I try to step out of my comfort zone every day. (Talking to new people, calling random food places, ect) Let me know I any of these work, or you have heard of them before. Good luck!!
