DAE often stutter because their brain isn’t sure which word to use, do you have tips on how to combat this?

DAE often stutter because their brain isn’t sure which word to use, do you have tips on how to combat this? E.g: “I had a really h-“, (and then my brain can’t decide whether to say horrible or hard) day” and I turn into a stuttering mess. This happens often. I think it’s just because I’m trying to talk so fast, but I’m not sure.
