It was extremely uncomfortable to see because I never ever seen anything like that and wasn’t prepared for it. I didn’t know what was going on. It was just me and him in the car when it happened. If you’re fluent, you can’t empathize with any of that. Now… I have a lot of empathy for stutterers. I wished he would have said something like, “hey just wanted to let you know that I may lock up when I stutter meaning my face could lock up too and I can make some funny faces (insert laugh here) but I’ll get out of it and unlock. It’s all cool. Thanks for being patient with me.”
