That... is an excellent point, and I'm rather embarrassed to admit that I hadn't thought of that lol. Generally in the story, most side characters are off-put or slightly annoyed by his stammer, and if they're particularly brash, might comment on it outright. One way that I like to show what kind of person a character is is by how they react to his stammer. The other two main characters, even though they act as an antagonistic force in the beginning, don't mock or interrupt him when he's struggling, usually just wait and let him work it out, or don't mention it otherwise. But as far as the cultural perspective of how the issue would be treated, I honestly had not thought of that. I will definitely have to research it more going forward- thank you for bringing that up!
