Selectiveness Does anyone not stutter at all when talking to certain people? For me, I didn't stutter at all when talking to my psychiatrist and therapist-it was because I already revealed that I stutter, there was no pressure to keep it hidden-I suspect they thought I was lying. Frankly the contents of these sessions were not very useful, but this realisation did help a lot with my subconscious anxiety-the key to everything(which is different from conscious self-esteem). I sort of imagined the same environment when talking to people normally. It's different from mere self-affirmation, in the sense that you absolutely know that it's real. With anxiety stutters fixed, trauma stutters are comparatively way easier to fix.
