Its hard for me to describe the differences based on my own experience cuz of language barrier. I may be wrong but what americans smoke is more comparable to a green plant leafs 🍃, hashish is more of a solid brick that you mix with tobacco, i know my answer is far from being clear definitely google hashish bricks or watch a youtube video.
