The "spit it out" comment is always the worst. Because no one wants us to spit it out more than us! And many people don't understand that. Don't let that ignorance get to you! I think the best solution might be to educate the person - explain you have a stutter and it takes you longer to speak. They may feel embarrassed and truly sorry - they'll learn. If they still tease you, then understand that they just suck, and finish your sentence, intentionally taking your time. Show them how stutters affect us! It's education for people. I hope you don't deal with remarks like that again. This is a challenging journey we're one. It's a chance for us to build character and tolerance, but disrespect is frustrating. Much love.
